Every project at FFI’s Surface Lab starts with an idea — and ends as a uniquely tailored piece not found in stores. Using advanced printing, cutting, and fabrication tools, our team delivers custom surfaces with depth, detail, and eye-catching impressions.
Watch as our UV flatbed printer transforms an ordinary 4’x8′ surface into a custom branded printed mosaic — precision, color, and craftsmanship in every detail.
FFI is not liable for damages, injuries, or issues arising from misuse or modifications of the fabricated projects. Colors, finishes and styles may vary slightly from digital previews.
Ever think about taking a shower with a manatee? Meet Minnie. The artwork is so incredibly realistic, alive, that it feels like she is right there in the shower with you. — Thank you Val and FFI, for making our ordinary little bathroom extraordinary!

CUSTOM SHOWER TILE
We can work with a wide range of materials — wood, glass, tile, plastic, metal, stone, acrylic, leather, bamboo, canvas and more (with an exception for polypropylene plastics).
Printing requires a flat surface or at least one with minimal differences (~2mm in elevation discrepancies). As such, we are able to print on textured or “rough” surfaces.
In addition, PVC or ACM materials are not eligible for use on the laser machine due to their composition.
Texture is achieved by UV curing multiple layers of ink before the final color print. From our experience, most heavy texture prints only require about 1-2mm of ink to achieve mosaic, stained glass, or other desired effects.
Costs vary depending on the scope and chosen finishes. If you have a concept in mind, contact our team for a personalized estimate tailored to your space and vision.
Lifespan varies by material and direct exposure: UV prints outdoors typically last 6–18 months, extendable to 5–8 years with premium sealing.
CNC plastic-only projects can last over a decade outdoors, making them ideal for outdoor kitchens.
Yes! We can print both white ink and clear varnish, which opens up a wide range of possibilities. White ink ensures we can print on a broad range of materials that would otherwise be too dark or transparent while clear varnish allows for projects like custom shower doors.
